a. A constant in an equation that varies in other equations of the same general form.
b. One of a set of independent variables that express the coordinates of a point.
- The ideas from the initial response to the site from which I developed the folie will be reinterpreted with regards to commercial, residential, entertainment and movement oriented architecture. The concept of private and enclosed as opposed to public and exposed, and the interchange between the two as a generator of ideas. During the day, the existence of the development will decrease enhancing the existing natural forms and features, whereas at night the architecture will produce a synergy of seamless integration into the site as well as the sense of attraction.
- Flexibility: an architecture which is adaptable, transformable, mobile and interactive: intuitively or manually reconfigured in response to current dynamic influences or requirements. Permanence is established through a dynamic existence and socio-cultural contribution. This will form the basis for another set of parameters to establish a concept on - it is my understanding, adaptation and extension of the ideas expressed by Robert Kronenburg in his book Flexible: Architecture that Responds to Change:
